Job Description
**Job Title** Helpdesk Technician **Role Summary** Provide remote and on‑site support for desktop and laptop users, focusing on Windows 10/11, macOS, Microsoft 365, and Active Directory. Resolve technology issues, manage tickets, maintain documentation, and support security initiatives such as MFA enrollment and malware remediation. **Expactations** *Remote primary work with periodic on‑site client visits.* *Self‑directed prioritization of break/fix tickets and scheduled tasks.* *Clear communication to non‑technical users and timely escalation of complex issues. **Key Responsibilities** - Deliver remote desktop/laptop support, troubleshooting hardware/software failures. - Install and configure applications, user settings, and operating systems (Windows 10/11, macOS). - Manage user accounts in Active Directory, including creation, modification, and de‑provisioning. - Resolve Office 365 and Microsoft 365 application issues; assist with cloud services. - Investigate and remediate malware alerts; guide users through MFA enrollment. - Create, update, and maintain incident tickets in the ticketing system; follow CSAT processes. - Document solutions and update knowledge base to ensure accurate, reusable information. - Collaborate with team members to deliver consistent client service and support service‑level agreements. **Required Skills** - Minimum 2 years of professional IT support experience. - Strong troubleshooting skills for Windows 10/11, macOS, and Microsoft 365. - Working knowledge of Active Directory and Office 365 cloud services. - Proficiency with ticketing systems (Autotask preferred). - Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to explain technical concepts clearly. - Time‑management and prioritization skills; ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tickets. - Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds; valid driver’s license for occasional on‑site visits. - Reliable high‑speed internet connection and quiet workspace for remote support. **Required Education & Certifications** - High school diploma or equivalent (preferred; higher education acceptable). - A+ Certification and/or Network+ Certification preferred. - Knowledge of Azure and/or AWS is a plus.
