Job Description
**Job Title:** Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist **Role Summary:** Band 7 Physiotherapist required to provide specialist pediatric care, offering leadership and clinical expertise within community-based teams. Focus on holistic, family-centered care for children and young people in East Sussex. **Expectations:** - Work 0.5–0.6 whole-time equivalent while managing a specialist pediatric caseload. - Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists) across clinics, schools, nurseries, and homes. - Support implementation of new clinic systems and CPIPSE assessments. **Key Responsibilities:** - Assess, treat, and monitor pediatric patients with physiotherapy needs. - Develop and deliver individualized treatment plans aligned with evidence-based practices. - Travel across East Sussex to serve diverse clinical bases. - Advise on caseload allocation strategies to enhance patient and therapist experiences. - Participate in clinical supervision, appraisals, and training initiatives. - Contribute to service improvements and maintain high-quality care standards. **Required Skills:** - Advanced clinical expertise in pediatric physiotherapy. - Leadership and team collaboration capabilities. - Strong problem-solving and communication skills for multidisciplinary work. - Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and patient needs. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Degree in physiotherapy (or equivalent). - Valid registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). - Postgraduate training in pediatric physiotherapy or related specialty. - Current experience in community-based physiotherapy or comparable setting.
