Job Description
Job Title: Digital Forensic Analyst Role Summary: Conduct forensic examinations of hard drives, mobile devices and cloud storage using industry-standard tools. Analyse digital evidence, prepare detailed reports, provide actionable recommendations, collaborate with law enforcement, mentor junior analysts, and stay current with cybersecurity trends. Expectations: Deliver accurate, timely findings; uphold legal and regulatory compliance; maintain rigorous documentation; support proactive threat‑prevention initiatives. Key Responsibilities: • Perform examinations with Cellebrite, MSAB, Magnet AXIOM, X-Ways, and other forensic suites. • Analyse digital evidence from multiple sources. • Draft comprehensive reports and recommendations. • Conduct forensic investigation to recover data and identify vulnerabilities. • Liaise with law enforcement in criminal investigations. • Update knowledge of cybersecurity threats and tools. • Train and mentor junior analysts and technicians. Required Skills: • Proficiency with forensic tools (EnCase, FTK, Endian, etc.). • Strong analytical, problem‑solving and detail orientation. • Ability to communicate complex technical findings to non‑technical stakeholders. • Knowledge of legal procedures, regulatory requirements, and ISO 17025 laboratory standards. • Mentoring and teamwork capability. Required Education & Certifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Digital Forensics, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field. • Professional certifications such as CCFP, GCFE or equivalent highly desirable. • Experience with ISO 17025 compliance.
