Job Title: Director, IT Technical Services & Cyber Security
Role Summary: Lead the day‑to‑day operational leadership, delivery, reliability, and continuous improvement of Baycrest’s technology infrastructure, network services, technical operations, helpdesk, and cyber security program. Ensure secure, stable, and efficient operation of all core technical services supporting clinical care, research, education, and business functions across the organization. Report to the Vice President, Corporate Digital Transformation.
Expectations: • 15+ years of progressive IT leadership, including senior management roles.
• Deep technical expertise in enterprise systems, network architecture, end‑user computing, telecommunications, and cybersecurity tools.
• Experience managing 24/7 high‑availability environments, preferably in healthcare.
• Hands‑on infrastructure experience with strategic and operational credibility.
• Strong governance, risk, and compliance mindset balanced with innovation.
• Ability to navigate IT legal documentation, contracts, and governance requirements, collaborating with legal and business partners.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee operational management of IT technical services, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
2. Direct the cyber security program: threat monitoring, vulnerability management, incident response, and compliance with regulatory standards.
3. Deliver continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality, efficiency, and risk posture.
4. Lead helpdesk and technical support functions, enforce SLAs, and drive customer satisfaction.
5. Manage capacity planning, backlog prioritization, and resource allocation.
6. Develop and enforce IT governance, policies, and risk management frameworks.
7. Negotiate, administer, and monitor vendor contracts and performance commitments.
8. Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders (clinical, research, business, legal) to align IT services with organizational goals.
9. Prepare and present operational metrics, reports, and insights to senior leadership.
Required Skills:

Required Education & Certifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Preferred certifications: CISSP, CISM, CISA, CCNA/CCNP, MCSE, ITIL Foundation or higher.
• Experience with healthcare regulatory and compliance environments.
