Job Summary:

As an IT Help Desk Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing technical assistance and support to end-users, ensuring smooth operations and resolving various hardware, software, and network related issues. Please note that this position is onsite and requires a physical presence at our location.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Image and deploy new computers to ensure standardized configurations and a smooth onboarding experience for new users.
Resolving common hardware, software, and network issues to deliver effective technical support to end-users via email, phone, and in person
New system deployment & Auditing of hardware inventory
Software deployments
Account Creations and Management: Facilitate new account creations in Microsoft Exchange, M365/Azure, and Microsoft Active Directory.
Utilize the Help Desk ticketing system to log and manage support requests, ensuring timely resolution and accurate documentation
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications include but are not limited to:

Student in Computer Technology programs in Ontario Colleges
Ability to work with desktop and laptop computers in a support role.
Advanced knowledge of Windows Desktop O/S (Win 10/11)
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office/M365
Ability to work in command-line environments (PowerShell) is an asset.
Will be required to move computer equipment weighing up to 20kg.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Work effectively in a team environment, collaborating with colleagues to address complex technical challenges
Experience with endpoint imaging systems (preferably SCCM)
Exceptional customer service, technical skills, and analytical abilities

Compensation:

At Baycrest, we take pride in ensuring our compensation structure is internally equitable and compliant with pay equity legislation. We believe compensation should be transparent, equitable, and reflective of your experience and growth. Our salary ranges are structured to support progression, from learning the role to demonstrating full proficiency.

For this position, the salary range is $58,386 to $72,983. The target hiring range is $58,386 to $61,000. per year.

Your placement within the target hiring range will depend on your job-related knowledge, skills, abilities, and relevant education and experience, as well as considerations such as market conditions and internal equity. The starting salary will be determined using these factors to ensure fairness and consistency across the organization.
