Job Description

**Job Title:** Mac Desktop App Developer (Freelance) **Role Summary:** Contract macOS developer responsible for designing, building, and maintaining desktop applications using Swift, with additional integration of USB‑connected hardware through C++ and .NET. Must deliver high‑quality, well‑documented code and troubleshoot cross‑language performance and compatibility issues. **Expectations:** - Work independently as a contractor and meet project deadlines. - Communicate effectively with internal teams to ensure seamless integration. - Maintain attention to detail and high standards of code quality. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, develop, and maintain macOS desktop applications in Swift. - Implement and optimize USB hardware integrations (cameras, sensors, etc.). - Develop cross‑platform components using C++ and .NET for device communication and driver interactions. - Diagnose and resolve performance, compatibility, and connectivity problems. - Produce clean, maintainable, and well‑documented source code. - Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align software with existing workflows. **Required Skills:** - Proven macOS development experience with Swift. - Proficient in C++ for performance‑critical modules and hardware interfacing. - Working knowledge of .NET for device integration and cross‑platform communication. - Strong understanding of USB protocols and hardware communication. - Ability to debug complex issues across Swift, C++, and .NET environments. - Excellent problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail. - Strong verbal and written communication; ability to work autonomously. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent professional experience). - Relevant certifications (e.g., Apple Certified Developer, C++/C# certifications) are a plus but not mandatory.
