**Job Title** Business Development Associate – M&A **Role Summary** Support the growth of an insurance brokerage by sourcing and nurturing mid‑market and large‑cap M&A warranty & indemnity (W&I) opportunities, building relationships with private equity sponsors, corporates, investment banks, law firms, and other deal advisers, and acting as a commercial adviser throughout the transaction lifecycle. **Expectations** - 1–3 years of sales experience, preferably in a private‑equity or M&A environment. - Proven track record of closing deals across the full sales cycle. - Strong negotiation, communication and presentation skills. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced setting. **Key Responsibilities** - Originate and develop new W&I insurance deals, establishing a robust pipeline of mid‑market and large‑cap M&A opportunities. - Build and maintain relationships with private‑equity investors, corporates, investment banks, legal advisers, and other transaction partners. - Assist in structuring, placing, and negotiating W&I insurance policies for both buy‑side and sell‑side transactions. - Serve as a trusted commercial adviser to clients from initial engagement through completion. - Increase market visibility through networking, thought‑leadership activities, and participation in industry events. - Collaborate with insurers and internal teams to create innovative and competitively priced W&I solutions. **Required Skills** - Sales cycle management (lead generation to closure). - Negotiation and deal structuring. - Excellent verbal and written communication. - Presentation and stakeholder engagement. - Relationship building with institutional investors and advisors. - Knowledge of warranty and indemnity insurance products (preferred). - Self‑directed, proactive, and able to handle multiple concurrent deals. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Law, or related field (preferred). - Professional certifications such as CFA, ACCA, or equivalent (desirable but not mandatory).
