Business Development Associate – M&A

Angove Partners is partnering with a leading boutique Insurance Broker based in London, seeking a Business Development Associate to assist in their ambitious growth strategy.

What is the role?

As a member of the business development team, the Business Development Associate will handle a variety of work-streams in a fast-paced and highly collaborative environment. The role will be very hands-on, and the successful candidate will play a critical role in facilitating interactions between the insurance brokerage firms and private equity firms and other potential clients.

What will you be doing?

Originate and develop new W&I insurance opportunities, building a strong pipeline of mid-market and large-cap M&A transactions
Build and maintain relationships with private equity sponsors, corporates, investment banks, law firms, and other deal advisers
Assisting the structuring, placement, and negotiation of W&I insurance policies across buy-side and sell-side transactions
Act as a trusted commercial adviser to clients throughout the deal lifecycle, from early engagement through to completion
Drive market visibility through networking, thought leadership, and active participation in industry events
Work closely with insurers and internal teams to deliver innovative and competitive W&I solutions

What do you need to apply to this role?

1-3 years in Sales Industry, with demonstrated sales success ideally within a PE/M&A setting.
Experience in full sales cycle including deal closing.
Strong negotiation skills.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
