Job title: Information Technology Intern Role Summary: 10‑week full‑time internship providing hands‑on experience across IT Service Desk, Information Security Operations, Enterprise Architecture, and Enterprise Networking, culminating in a capstone project that delivers business value. Expectations: Demonstrate willingness to learn, maintain documentation, and adhere to ITIL‑aligned practices. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, meet project milestones, and deliver a final presentation of the capstone outcome. Key Responsibilities: • Shadow and support ticket intake, triage, and resolution of common endpoint, Microsoft 365, and peripheral issues. • Document a SOP or “how‑to” improving first‑call resolution. • Observe EDR/SIEM alert workflows; aid in vulnerability tracking, exception logging, and user awareness collateral. • Produce a one‑pager security control spotlight. • Review lightweight architecture diagrams, update component diagrams, and draft glossary or decision records. • Assist in network monitoring, firewall hygiene, port mapping, patch scheduling, and inventory cleanup. • Create an “as‑is” network view for a branch or micro‑segment. • Complete a capstone project (service improvement, automation prototype, standards artifact, or dashboard) and present results to IT leadership. • Maintain accurate notes, SOP drafts, and artifacts from each rotation.
