Job Description
Job Title: Technical Sales Engineer – Research & Medical Role Summary: Drive direct sales growth of Syntegon Telstar’s research & medical instrumentation by prospecting new laboratory, biotech, and hospital accounts, managing full sales cycle, and supporting partner networks across France. Serve as the technical and commercial ambassador of the brand on the field, providing expert product support and ensuring customer satisfaction. Expectations: - Deliver measurable sales targets and revenue growth for assigned product lines. - Establish and maintain long‑term trust with technical and decision‑making stakeholders. - Demonstrate professionalism, high presentation standards, and strong communication skills at all levels. - Operate autonomously with effective organization, rigor, and a results‑oriented mindset. - Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of industry trends, competition, and regulatory environments. Key Responsibilities: 1. Prospect, qualify, and close new accounts in the laboratory, research, and healthcare sectors. 2. Own the end‑to‑end sales cycle: opportunity identification, needs analysis, technical‑commercial proposal creation, negotiation, and contract finalization. 3. Provide first‑level technical support to end customers and channel partners; offer product knowledge and positioning guidance. 4. Train, coordinate, and jointly visit customers with partner distributors to ensure a consistent solution offering. 5. Represent the brand at industry events, tradeshows, and conferences; capture and follow up on generated leads. 6. Produce regular activity reports (CRM, forecasts, pipeline) and deliver market intelligence on competition, trends, and customer needs. 7. Collaborate with internal pre‑sales, engineering, and service teams to align solutions with client requirements. Required Skills: - Strong commercial acumen in laboratory technology sales – prospecting, negotiating, closing. - Solid understanding of laboratory operations, instrumentation, and regulatory standards. - Excellent written and oral communication, professional presentation, and ability to engage technical and executive audiences. - Self‑starter with proven autonomy, organization, and meticulous follow‑up. - Team player capable of coordinating with distributors and cross‑functional internal teams. - Professional business‑level English (written & oral) for interaction with the global headquarters. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree (Bac +3) to Master’s level (Bac +5) in a technical or scientific discipline. - Minimum 3–5 years of technical‑sales experience in the laboratory equipment or biopharmaceutical sector.
