Job title: Project Manager – Large International Project
Role Summary:
Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of a multi‑partner international research program on auto‑antibodies, coordinating scientific, clinical, industrial, and financial activities to ensure timely deliverables, regulatory compliance, and effective governance.
Expectations:
Maintain a strategic vision of the project, serve as the primary liaison for all partners, ensure adherence to timelines and budgets, produce high‑quality scientific and financial reports, and facilitate communication, governance, and regulatory processes across the consortium.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Coordination & Oversight
- Drive implementation of work packages, support task leaders, and manage partner contributions.
- Monitor progress, adjust timelines, and report on milestones and deliverables.
- Prepare and review scientific/financial reports for funders.
- Identify risks, trigger mitigation actions, and communicate status to senior management.
2. Governance Management
- Organise steering and follow‑up meetings, prepare agendas and minutes, and track action items.
3. Clinical Research & Regulatory Support
- Plan clinical study activities in line with the project roadmap.
- Ensure completion of regulatory procedures and oversee data transfer to partners.
4. Legal & Agreement Administration
- Support drafting and negotiation of DTAs, MTAs, and other agreements with the legal department.
5. Budget & HR Management
- Monitor funding allocations, update financial forecasts, and coordinate financial reporting.
- Track expenditures by category and oversee recruitment activities for the project.
6. Communication & Outreach
- Produce content for the project website and social media in collaboration with the communications team.
Required Skills
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- Strong scientific writing and communication.
- Proficiency with office suites and project‑management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Trello).
- Knowledge of health‑data research and clinical research best practices.
- Experience managing multi‑partner public‑private research projects.
- Ability to coordinate scientific networks and facilitate collaboration.
- Excellent organisational, operational, and systems‑thinking skills.
- High self‑direction, autonomy, and capacity to provide upward feedback.
Required Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in life sciences, biomedical engineering, health‑care management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in managing research projects (preferably in medical/biological sciences).
- Familiarity with grant‑management and regulatory compliance is an asset.
