Job title: Demand Planning Manager
Role Summary:
Lead end‑to‑end demand planning for a premium chocolate portfolio, consolidating forecasts across multiple markets, aligning commercial objectives with supply‑chain capabilities, and ensuring accurate, actionable demand signals to support production, inventory, and distribution planning.
Expectations:
Maintain high forecast accuracy, manage demand integration for seasonal cycles and new product launches, drive continuous improvement of planning processes, collaborate cross‑functionally with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Brand teams, and leverage ERP and analytics tools to deliver robust reporting and decision support.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, validate, and consolidate demand inputs from retail, e‑commerce, and hospitality channels into a unified forecast.
- Monitor forecast performance, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions to improve accuracy.
- Lead regular demand review meetings with Sales, Marketing, and Operations, communicating risks and opportunities.
- Oversee operational execution of seasonal plans and new‑product launches in partnership with Brand and Commercial teams.
- Identify and mitigate excess or stock‑out risks during peak periods.
- Generate weekly and monthly demand, trend, and constraint reports.
- Make allocation decisions during supply constraints using historical sales and forecast data.
- Maintain timely, accurate updates in JDE ERP, serve as the demand‑planning point of contact for system queries, and drive process improvements.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical and numeracy abilities, with proficiency in advanced Excel.
- Expertise in JDE ERP or comparable demand‑planning systems.
- Ability to balance strategic forecasting with operational execution.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; strong influencing and negotiation skills.
- Proven collaboration across cross‑functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Operations).
- Adaptability to changing priorities and market dynamics.
- Ownership and accountability for forecast accuracy and continuous improvement.
- Critical thinking for evaluating complex data and scenarios.
Required Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
- Preferred certifications: APICS CSCP, CPIM, or equivalent demand‑planning credential.
