**Job title:** Solutions Engineer
**Role Summary:**
Drive technical validation and post‑sale implementation for a high‑growth data security SaaS platform. Engage in customer discovery, architecture design, proof‑of‑concepts, and serve as the primary technical liaison across pre‑sales, implementation, and support phases.
**Expectations:**
- 2+ years of Solution/ Sales Engineer experience or engineering with customer‑facing responsibility.
- Manage end‑to‑end technical validation, demonstrate strong ownership and prompt resolution of technical objections.
- Communicate effectively with developers, engineering, and executive stakeholders (CTO‑level).
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Lead pre‑sales technical validation: perform deep discovery of customer architecture and data flows, build data‑flow diagrams, and design integration approaches.
- Orchestrate proof‑of‑concepts for complex accounts, addressing API, auth, webhooks, SDK, and deployment questions.
- Serve as the post‑sale technical lead: guide integration, troubleshoot issues, collaborate with engineering on deeper technical challenges, and ensure rapid time‑to‑value.
- Bridge sales and engineering: enable AEs with technical positioning, capture customer feedback, and translate into product requirements.
**Required Skills:**
- Proficiency with RESTful APIs, authentication, webhooks, SDK patterns, and at least one language (JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Java, Go).
- Strong technical discovery, critical questioning, and ability to translate complex concepts to various audiences.
- Ownership mindset, bias for action, and high standards for customer experience.
- Comfortable engaging with senior technical stakeholders (CTO, VP Engineering).
**Optional/Preferred:**
- Payments domain knowledge (tokenization, PCI, payment flows).
- Security fundamentals (cryptography, PKI, secure handling of sensitive data).
- Experience with developer‑first, API‑led products where validation is critical.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
