Customers range from fast-growing startups to large, regulated organizations in industries like fintech and healthcare. Revenue grew 3x last year and they’re gearing up for another major growth push, which is driving investment across the go-to-market team.

About the Role

They’re hiring a Solutions Engineer to work across pre-sales and post-sales, partnering closely with Account Executives to win technical evaluations and ensure smooth implementations.

This is a highly technical role focused on discovery, architecture, and validation. It is not a slide-and-demo job. You’ll get pulled in once deals become technical and you’ll own the entire validation phase: understanding a customer’s stack, mapping data flows, designing the integration path, running proof-of-concepts, and clearing security and engineering objections.

Post-sale, you’ll remain the technical point of contact through implementation and early customer support, working alongside engineering when deeper issues arise.

You’ll report to the Head of Sales and join a lean but growing team. This is their second SE hire, so you’ll have real influence on how the function gets built.

What You’ll Do

Pre-Sales Technical Engagement

Lead technical validation with engineering and security stakeholders once deals become technical
Run deep discovery on customer architecture and sensitive-data workflows
Design integration approaches that fit cleanly into existing systems
Build clear data flow diagrams and technical artifacts that unblock internal reviews
Lead proof-of-concepts for larger or more complex accounts
Answer technical questions across APIs, auth, webhooks, SDK patterns, and deployment options
Workshop creative solutions to meet security, compliance, and performance requirements

Post-Sales Implementation

Guide customers through implementation and integration, acting as the technical lead
Troubleshoot integration questions and partner with engineering for deeper technical issues
Ensure fast time-to-value and a clean handoff into ongoing support processes

Enablement and Product Feedback

Act as the bridge between sales and engineering for new product launches
Enable AEs on how to position technical features and handle common objections
Translate customer feedback into clear product input: requirements, tradeoffs, and priorities

What They’re Looking For

2+ years in a Solutions Engineer / Sales Engineer role, or an engineering role with customer-facing responsibility
Strong technical foundation in APIs (REST, auth, webhooks) and comfort talking implementation with developers
Familiar with SDK patterns and at least one language (JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Java, Go, etc.)
Excellent at technical discovery and asking second- and third-level questions
Clear communicator who can explain complex concepts to both engineers and non-technical stakeholders
Strong ownership mindset, bias for action, and high standards for customer experience
Comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders, including CTO-level buyers

Nice to Have

Payments familiarity (data flows, tokenization concepts, PCI basics, payment infrastructure)
Security knowledge (cryptography basics, PKI concepts, secure handling of sensitive data)
Experience in developer-first, API-led products where validation matters more than demos
