Job Description: Job Title Business Manager for Growing Cheese Brand Role Summary Provide senior commercial and operational oversight to scale a plant‑based cheese brand from startup to national presence, partnering with the founder to drive profitability, process improvement, and growth initiatives. Expactations Act as the primary problem‑solver and coordinator, maintain accurate inventory and financial reporting, support strategic decisions, and lead cross‑functional projects to ensure smooth business operations and sustained growth. Key Responsibilities - Manage day‑to‑day business and commercial operations, coordinating between business and production functions. - Oversee inventory management system (Unleashed), ensuring accuracy for decision‑making. - Liaise with retailers: manage accounts, respond to queries, coordinate promotions. - Monitor KPIs, spot issues early, and recommend corrective actions. - Handle administrative duties (utilities, facilities, forms). - Own P&L tracking and financial reporting, lead pricing updates, margin analysis, and cash‑flow management. - Lead grant applications, funding opportunities, and B Corp recertification processes. - Drive brand collaborations, partnerships, and special projects. - Implement scalable systems and processes without adding unnecessary bureaucracy. - Provide strategic support to senior leadership, identify efficiency opportunities, and aid retail account development. - Contribute to business planning and forecasting.
