**Job title:** Test Analyst
**Role Summary:**
Responsible for ensuring the quality of IT applications and solutions by planning, designing, executing, and reporting on tests across the full lifecycle. Works collaboratively with project managers, business analysts, developers, and other testers to identify, log, and resolve defects before deployment.
**Expectations:**

- Actively seek process improvement and enhance testing practices.
- Uphold information security and quality standards.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Contribute to overall testing strategies and define test approaches for complex projects, including risk‑based coverage and entry/exit criteria.
- Analyze requirements, user stories, and specifications to design structured test cases, scenarios, and test data covering functional, integration, and regression tests.
- Execute manual test cases, record results, and document evidence.
- Identify, reproduce, and clearly describe defects; manage defect life cycle in tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira.
- Collaborate with developers, analysts, and project managers to clarify issues, support diagnosis, and confirm resolutions.
- Provide concise updates on test progress, issues, and risks; raise escalations as needed.
- Produce and maintain test artefacts (approaches, cases, data, reports) for audit, reference, and compliance.
- Ensure adherence to testing processes and standards; keep documentation current.
- Identify opportunities to improve testing tools, processes, and quality assurance practices.
- Promote effective communication and collaboration within the IT department.
**Required Skills:**
- 5+ years of hands‑on software testing or quality assurance experience across multiple projects or systems.
- Experience with at least one delivery methodology (Agile or Waterfall).
- Practical knowledge of test design techniques (boundary value, positive/negative testing).
- Proficiency in test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira).
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities; adept at spotting inconsistencies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; able to describe issues and risks clearly.
- Well organised, detail‑oriented, and able to follow agreed processes.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- ISTQB Foundation Level certification (or actively pursuing).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred).
