Job Description
Job Title: Credit Controller (FTC) Role Summary Lead credit management for one or more ledgers, driving cash collection and customer engagement in a fast‑paced, target‑driven environment. Oversee the full credit cycle, maintain accurate records, and support the transition of the credit control team to a shared service model. Expectations - Manage a fixed‑term (14 month) contract role. - Deliver on collection targets and maintain high customer satisfaction. - Coordinate closely with invoicing, portal, and internal teams. Key Responsibilities - Own full credit cycle for assigned ledger(s) – invoicing accuracy, query resolution, timely collection. - Onboard new customers, assess credit risk, and maintain master data. - Follow agreed collections processes to recover overdue debt. - Lead weekly internal calls to drive query resolution and debt reduction. - Reconcile customer accounts and analyse posting/activity. - Monitor payment plans, escalating issues proactively. - Ensure compliance with credit and risk policies. Required Skills - Proven credit control experience in a fast‑paced, target‑driven setting. - Strong commercial mindset and confident communication. - Customer‑focused, right‑first‑time approach. - Proactive problem‑solving, willingness to challenge norms. - Beginner‑intermediate Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, data manipulation). - Experience with customer portals and payment platforms. - Familiarity with CRM, Sage 200/50, Xero, Workbooks, Salesforce, Wave, Goldvision, Credit Hound, Credit Safe, Red Fla (desirable). Required Education & Certifications - Minimum of 3 years’ credit control experience. - Relevant accounting or finance qualification (e.g., CMI, ACCA, ACA, CGA) preferred but not mandatory.
