**Job Title:** User Experience Designer
**Role Summary:**
Lead solution design and coordinate cross‑functional teams within a UK revenue modernization program. Align business outcomes with technical delivery across UI/UX, integration, managed file transfer, and API governance to meet regulatory compliance and stakeholder expectations.
**Expectations:**
- Own solution architecture, integration patterns, and data models.
- Manage risks, dependencies, testing, and operational readiness.
- Deliver clear progress updates and stakeholder engagement.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Orchestrate collaboration between UI/UX designers, integration architects, and managed file transfer teams.
- Translate business outcomes into solution requirements and epics, ensuring traceability to delivered features.
- Define API‑led, event‑driven, batch/ETL patterns, canonical schemas, and transformation rules.
- Design error handling, retry, and fail‑over mechanisms independent of tools.
- Enforce API governance (versioning, security, documentation) and lifecycle standards.
- Build and maintain delivery roadmaps, monitor risks, and execute mitigation plans.
- Provide client‑facing updates, prepare steering materials, and ensure stakeholder satisfaction.
- Facilitate agile ceremonies (PI planning, backlog refinement) and enforce Definition of Ready/Done.
- Advocate for Java, microservices, API Management frameworks, and integration tools.
- Act as a bridge between business and technology teams to maintain clarity and alignment.
**Required Skills:**
- 15+ years of solution consulting/architecture or senior business systems analysis in large public‑sector or regulated environments.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and workshop facilitation abilities.
- Proficiency in GDS, UCD standards and UK public‑sector compliance.
- Deep understanding of Java, microservices, integration tools, API‑led connectivity, REST, OpenAPI/ RAML, and security standards.
- Proven cross‑functional team coordination experience (UI/UX, integration, testing, DevOps).
- Ability to estimate effort with minimal deviation and manage stakeholder expectations.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, Certified Integration Architect, Java SE Certification) preferred.
