Position: ML/Generative AI Developer - Electrical Automotive Domain

Location: Windsor, ON, Canada

Long-term ongoing Contract

We're looking for a Generative AI Developer to join our client in the automotive industry. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who's passionate about AI, machine learning, and automotive innovation, and who thrives in building real-world solutions using cutting-edge technologies.

What You'll Do

Design, build, and deploy generative AI solutions using Python and Azure AI services.
Leverage Databricks for data preparation, model training, and deployment.
Collaborate with cross-functional and global teams to translate requirements into scalable AI solutions.
Implement and optimize OpenAI-based models, LLMs, RAG techniques, and agentic AI frameworks.
Ensure best practices in model governance, security, and performance.
Communicate findings and progress effectively in a team-oriented, consulting-style environment.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
3+ years of professional ML/AI development experience.
2+ years as a Machine Learning Engineer, with at least 1 year of hands-on GenAI development on Azure.
Strong proficiency in Python, Azure AI services, and Databricks.
Background in the automotive domain is a strong plus.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work in distributed, cross-time zone teams.

Nice to Have

Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or AI.
Experience deploying GenAI solutions with OpenAI models on Azure.
Knowledge of RAG, LLMs, and agentic AI frameworks.
Exposure to automation and simulation tools within the electrical automotive space.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
