About the role

Own customer-facing product docs that make complex SaaS features easy to adopt. You'll plan, write, and maintain task-focused guides, in-app help, release notes, and onboarding playbooks--working closely with Product, Design, and Engineering.

What you'll do

Create and maintain user/admin guides, how-tos, troubleshooting, FAQs, release notes, and in-app tooltips.
Translate PRDs/UX flows into task-first content with clear steps, screenshots, and diagrams.
Partner with PM/Design/Eng to document new features pre-launch; keep docs in lockstep with releases.
Structure information architecture/search so users find answers fast; manage a docs backlog.
Run a docs-as-code workflow (Markdown, Git, PR reviews, CI previews).
Capture what's new / breaking changes each release; publish concise notes and upgrade guides.
Instrument docs with analytics; iterate based on search gaps, bounce, support tickets.
Maintain a style guide/terminology and ensure accessibility (alt text, headings).

What you'll bring

3-7+ years writing product documentation for B2B SaaS.
Excellent plain-English writing; task orientation and information design chops.
Comfort reading PRDs/UX, trying features in staging, and filing tickets for gaps.
Tools: Markdown, Git/GitHub, screenshot/diagramming (e.g., Snagit, Figma/Mermaid), static site generators (Docusaurus/MkDocs).
Nice: basic API literacy (OpenAPI/Swagger), Postman, SEO for docs, localization workflows.
