Hawksworth have another fantastic Contract opportunity working in a Front-Office area of a prestigious French Investment Bank. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Java UI FX Options). Contract inside IR35 paying up to PS935 per day (Through an Umbrella company). Hybrid working (3 days a week onsite 2 days working from home after a few weeks of 5 days a week onsite to onboard & internal training). 12-month initial assignment.

This is for a Brand-new team!
Looking for someone who has worked on integrating quant libraries
Needs to have Hands on experience working with Java UI Swing
5- 10 years' experience
Happy to get their hands dirty
Good Business Knowledge
Worked on a few projects leading on design solutions
Experience reengining platforms.

The Job:

This is a high-profile role working on the FX Options pricer. The team develops the pricing, hedging and electronic price distribution systems for the FX Options desk and for voice traders as well as the workflows for Sales and Structuring. The mandate for this role is to ensure the technology framework is upgraded to the standards of the bank while providing a flexible container for Quants and trading teams to integrate new payoffs and pricing techniques into the platform. It is a hands-on development role. As a senior software engineer, you will be expected to contribute towards the design of the solution and the improvements of the framework. Knowledge of FIX is desirable for the integration of the electronic markets. A high technical development ability in Java is also required including UI swing framework.

Required:

Higher education degree or equivalent
Good Java programming experience including Java Swing and UI Framework
Multithreading
WPF experience
FX Options Pricing
Past experience integrating with Quant Libraries
Trader contact
Scripting skills
Familiarity with FIX protocol, Garbage collection- aware
Track record of Front-Office facing role.
FX Options knowledge
