Job Specifications

Working with one of our top insurance clients, this role calls for a Senior Guidewire Developer - Policy Center who will focus on front-end digital microservices development and Guidewire back-end integration. The successful candidate will work on complex PolicyCenter initiatives, API integrations, and component enhancements to support critical business functions.

This position requires strong technical acumen, hands-on Guidewire development experience, and the ability to work effectively in an agile team environment to deliver high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities

Develop and enhance Guidewire PolicyCenter components to support business initiatives.
Work on defect fixes, analysis, and enhancements within Guidewire applications.
Design and build API microservices for seamless integration between Guidewire and other systems.
Participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, refinement sessions, and quarterly planning.
Proactively identify feasibility constraints and suggest technical solutions early in the development cycle.
Collaborate closely with microservices leads while maintaining primary ownership of Guidewire components.
Ensure solutions align with organizational technology standards and best practices.
Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing.
Identify risks and dependencies early and support mitigation strategies.
Foster a collaborative team culture focused on technical excellence and delivery.

Desired Skill Set

Guidewire Certification (GW 10 or higher) - mandatory.
Hands-on development experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter (complex initiatives preferred).
Strong background in API development and third-party system integrations.
Solid agile experience, including sprint-based execution and refinement cycles.
Strong technical acumen with proven coding and configuration skills.
Good communication skills (no direct business interaction required).
Experience working in agile delivery environments using standard tools and processes.

Nice to Have

Experience with BillingCenter or other Guidewire components.
Exposure to large-scale digital transformation initiatives.
Familiarity with enterprise insurance systems and integration patterns.
Ability to contribute to architectural discussions and recommend scalable solutions.
