Our client is a top financial institution with significant North American holdings. They have operations across most major verticals, including institutional & corporate, wealth management, private client, commercial banking, treasury, and retail banking.

Introduction: Robertson is seeking a skilled Software Developer - Java to join our client.

Contract Period: 5 months with potential to extend or convert
Pay Rate: Starting from $65 per hour
Location: Toronto, ON
Location Type: Hybrid: onsite 4 days per week
Business Hours: Monday to Friday; Core Business Hours

Job Responsibilities:
Develop and host web enabled and database driven applications in Java.
Apply analytical skills to resolve problems and deliver solutions.
Design and develop quality solutions for systems issues consistent with project objectives.
Develop, implement and maintain solutions that maximize system availability.
Periodic scope assistance.
Work with other team members to cooperatively design, develop and deploy quality solutions to satisfy project objectives and client requirements.
Writes, tests and debugs code. Participates in code reviews.
Comply with System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology.
Take part in construction of the requirements, design, testing and deployment documents. Ensure consistency in coding standards.
Ensure required documentation is housed in the project repository and that knowledge transfer has occurred to full time staff upon completion of contract term.
Participate in after-hours on-call support rotation as required.

Experience & Qualification Requirements:
5 plus years of relevant experience
Java Experience - Java 8 (must have) and 17 (nice to have)
Spring/Springboot
Kafka
SQL Server
Mogo DB
Advanced troubleshooting skills
Agile
