Workday Integration Specialist
Location: Hybrid (Ontario preferred)
Type: Contract / Full-time
About the Role
We're seeking an experienced Workday Integration Specialist to support several upcoming and in-flight projects that involve integrating Workday with a variety of internal and external systems. This role requires strong hands-on technical expertise in Workday integrations, including connectors, APIs, and custom solutions, as well as the ability to collaborate across technical and functional teams.
You'll be instrumental in designing, building, and maintaining robust integration frameworks that connect Workday with tools such as Active Directory, ServiceNow, Power BI / Microsoft Fabric, and other third-party applications.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain Workday integrations across multiple systems and platforms
Configure and support out-of-the-box connectors for third-party applications
Develop and enhance integrations using Workday Studio, EIB, and Workday Web Services (APIs)
Create and maintain Workday custom reports and Reporting as a Service (RaaS) outputs
Support integrations with MuleSoft and other middleware solutions
Collaborate with business process owners to ensure Workday integrations align with organizational needs
Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues, ensuring system stability and data accuracy
Participate in integration testing, validation, and documentation activities
Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of experience in Workday integrations and reporting
Proven experience with Workday Studio, EIB, RaaS, and Workday APIs/Web Services
Strong understanding of core HR, security, and business process frameworks within Workday
Experience configuring or maintaining connectors to tools such as Active Directory, ServiceNow, Power BI, and other SaaS applications
Familiarity with MuleSoft or similar middleware platforms
Proficiency in XML, XSLT, XPATH, SOAP, and REST APIs
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
Nice to Have
Experience in Workday Financials or other advanced modules
Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric and advanced data integration tools
Experience working in large, complex organizations with multiple concurrent Workday projects
