Job Title: Software Developer Contractor

Your expertise with C++, XML, and the FIX protocol will be essential in developing high-performance trading systems that prioritize speed and reliability. Required Skills

Proficiency in C++ programming, with a track record of hands-on development.
Deep understanding of the FIX protocol (FIX, FIXML) and experience with low-latency trading use cases.
Strong experience in parsing various FIX formats, including native FIX, FIX with XML tags, and FIXML.
Proven ability to transform FIX data into downstream consumable formats.
Familiarity with near/real-time messaging and queuing technologies.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with client stakeholders, showcasing “ideation-to-production” velocity and a commitment to high design and code quality.

Nice To Have Skills

Experience in capital markets or financial technology.
Knowledge of data management solutions and their implementations.
Exposure to working with quant developers.

Preferred Education And Experience

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Several years of direct experience in software development, particularly in C++ and financial systems.

Other Requirements

Ability to work onsite 4-5 days a week in NYC (no travel required).
Strong problem-solving skills and the capacity to quickly learn new concepts.
