Head of Privacy / Data Protection Officer

Up to £135,000 + bonus

London or Nottingham - once a week in office

A multinational tech/digital business are recruiting for a Head of Privacy/DPO to lead the ongoing development of their global data protection strategy. Operating in over 100 regions, this is truly global opportunity and will require someone with international/global privacy experience.

Responsibilities

Lead & develop the global privacy framework in-line with various global privacy regulations, e.g. GDPR, CCPA etc.
Act as the firm's DPO, liaising with regulatory authorities on queries and investigations
Embed privacy by design by partnering with Product & Engineering teams
Draft & negotiate privacy aspects of contracts
Manage DPIAs, ROPAs, data-mapping, vendor assessments etc.

Requirements

Qualified lawyer - 6+ years PQE
Extensive experience & knowledge of global privacy regulations
Experience in a tech/data-driven business, ideally product led
Prior experience in private practice at an international law firm is preferable
