Job Title: Unemployment Claims (Human Resources Assistant III)
Location: Charlotte, NC 28217
Job Type: 12-Month Contract (100% Onsite)
Start Date: October 6, 2025
Schedule: Monday–Friday, Standard Business Hours
Pay Rate: $23/hour
Position Overview:
Dexian is seeking a Leave of Absence Coordinator to support the administration of leave programs, including Short-Term Disability (STD), Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). This Human Resources Assistant III role will play a key part in ensuring compliance, maintaining accurate records, and providing high-quality customer service in a fast-paced HR environment. This position also includes responsibilities related to mail support and document processing.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist employees with STD, FMLA, ADA, and disability-related inquiries and processes
Ensure compliance with federal and state leave regulations and company policies
Manage a high volume of inbound calls while handling multiple priorities
Document all call conversations and updates in the leave management system (Claim Vantage)
Collaborate with Unit Managers, HR teams, and the Benefits Department regarding employee leave status
Update payroll systems with accurate leave information
Retrieve, review, and process incoming mail for the Leave of Absence department
Scan and upload required documents into the Absence Tracker system
Ensure returned mail is properly recorded and systems are updated accordingly
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or 3+ years of relevant experience in leave administration
Familiarity with FMLA, ADA, STD, and disability leave regulations
3+ years of customer service experience, ideally in HR or benefits administration
Strong verbal communication and active listening skills
Excellent multitasking, time management, and organizational skills
High attention to detail and ability to follow through on tasks
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage workload effectively
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
