We’re seeking an experienced TP141 Advanced Commissioning Engineer (ACE) to support a portfolio of major substation projects across the Central East region. This is a unique opportunity to work independently across multiple schemes, providing expert commissioning oversight and technical guidance to ensure projects are fully prepared for energisation.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Audit 20 projects for commissioning readiness, including 1–2 day site visits.
Produce concise risk assessments and recommendations.
Review contract documents, scope, design, and programmes – performing gap analyses against BP and SR standards.
Advise project teams, contractors and customers on commissioning planning, compliance and team capability.
Support PM teams with mitigation strategies and escalation advice.
(Occasionally) support early-stage design reviews or documentation prep where ACE capacity is limited.

What We’re Looking For:

Must have: Proven experience as an TP141 Advanced Commissioning Engineer
Desirable: Former Commissioning Panel Chair or Lead ACE experience

Location: Central East (site-based 2 days/week)

Engagement: Flexible – part-time or full-time contract

This role is all about advising and supporting, not taking over – working independently but closely aligned with project priorities. You’ll help ensure commissioning readiness across the region.
