Job Description:

On behalf of our client, Affinity is seeking a Business Analyst to engage with the stakeholders and to execute process discovery and documentation prior to their digital transformation program focused on process efficiency and automation (RPA + AI).

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with multiple departments to document current (“as-is”) business processes
Create clear, professional process flows and diagrams (BPMN strongly preferred)
Uncover pain points, redundancies, manual effort, and bottlenecks
Quantify time/FTE currently spent on repetitive tasks
Deliver concise reports and recommendations for each process
Build and prioritize an automation backlog (quick wins first – low effort / high impact)
Prepare processes for upcoming RPA and AI-based automation

Example focus area: high-volume invoice processing with duplicate manual data entry.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years as a Business Analyst with a strong track record in process mapping and documentation
Excellent stakeholder interviewing and facilitation skills (non-technical audiences)
Proficiency with process modeling tools (Visio, Lucidchart, Miro, Camunda, etc.)
Ability to produce clear, executive-ready deliverables
Comfortable working in a traditional, relationship-driven environment

Highly Valued (Not Required)

Experience in the post-secondary education sector
Familiarity with Banner ERP or similar student/administrative systems
Knowledge of RPA tools and concepts (UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Power Automate)
Lean/Six Sigma or process improvement certification

Location & Schedule

Kelowna, BC – on-site presence required – 3-5 days on a site per week

Full-time strongly preferred; part-time considered
