Job Specifications
Apex Systems is currently hiring for a Sr. Sentinel Security Engineer. This role will assist enterprise customers in designing, planning, and operationalizing Microsoft Sentinel and integrated Microsoft Defender solutions, ensuring alignment with Zero Trust principles and the Microsoft Cybersecurity Reference Architecture (MCRA). The role will provide expert guidance, best practices, and recommendations without performing direct implementation.
Qualified candidates will have the following experience and skills:
Deep knowledge of Microsoft Sentinel, Defender for Cloud, MDVM, and integrated XDR capabilities.
Strong understanding of Azure Landing Zones, Azure Arc, and multicloud security governance.
Proficiency in KQL for hunting and analytics; ability to guide SOC teams on detection engineering.
Experience advising on SOC operationalization, SOAR automation, and DevSecOps integration.
Assist customers in onboarding Azure, AWS, and GCP into Defender for Cloud using native and multicloud connectors.
Guide onboarding of non-Azure servers via Azure Arc for policy enforcement and log ingestion.
Assist customers in onboarding non Azure Windows/Linux servers with Azure Arc to standardize log flow into Microsoft Sentinel.
Advise on Sentinel readiness within Azure Landing Zones, including governance, RBAC, diagnostics, and log routing (CAF/WAF alignment).

Pay range: 65-68HR
