Are you an experienced and hands-on Python Developer with strong backend expertise and the ability to work across APIs, microservices, and data-related troubleshooting? This exciting opportunity allows you to support one of our top financial clients by building scalable solutions, resolving complex data issues, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders.
Working with a leading financial institution, this position calls for a Python Developer(Microservices/ Banking) who will design, develop, and maintain backend components, contribute to high-quality applications, and ensure efficient data handling within banking systems. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and excels at communication in fast-paced environments.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python.
Build and enhance APIs, web applications, and microservices to support enterprise-level systems.
Diagnose and resolve data quality issues, schema mismatches, and pipeline failures (not a data architecture role).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, QA, and Business stakeholders, to support requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
Apply best practices, design patterns, and clean coding standards to all development work.
Troubleshoot production issues and support incident resolutions as needed.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to optimize performance and code quality.
Work effectively in a banking environment, ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards.
Desired Skill Set:
5–7 years of backend development experience with strong hands-on expertise in Python.
Proven experience building APIs, web applications, and microservices.
Strong ability to analyze and resolve data quality issues and pipeline failures.
Solid understanding of software engineering best practices and design patterns.
Banking or financial services experience preferred.
Knowledge of ACBS, AFS, or Corporate/Commercial Lending systems is an asset.
