Now Hiring: Cybersecurity & Data Protection Advisor (3–5 Years Experience)
Location: Hybrid – Foxboro or Andover, MA (2–3 days onsite)
Contract: 6 Months + Possible Extension
We’re seeking a motivated Cybersecurity & Data Protection Advisor to join a high-performing cyber team. This role is ideal for a professional with 3–5 years of experience who is eager to grow, work on cutting-edge security initiatives, and ensure products meet global cybersecurity standards including IEC 62443.
Top 3 Skills Needed
• Experience providing Cyber Security & Data advising aligned to IEC 62443 standards
• Strong background in Cloud Security, APIs, and Privacy by Design
• Experience conducting PEN test reviews, threat modeling, and reviewing scope/requirements
Key Responsibilities
• Lead cybersecurity and privacy engagements throughout product certification lifecycle
• Define and implement IT/OT security and data protection requirements
• Perform risk assessments, threat modeling, and penetration test reviews
• Drive Secure Development Lifecycle (SDL v2) activities and vendor assessments
• Deploy and manage SAST/DAST tools and generate SDL artifacts
• Execute pre-penetration testing under SDL v2
• Act as a cybersecurity SME, advising teams on secure design and implementation
• Ensure compliance with risk-based security practices and standards
• Collaborate on secure architecture requirements with cross-functional teams
• Support incident response planning and validation activities
• Maintain documentation for controls, processes, and compliance
• Communicate with stakeholders to ensure strong security posture
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s in computer science, Information Security, or equivalent experience
• Minimum 3 years in cybersecurity roles (R&D environment preferred)
• Strong knowledge of IEC 62443; ISA-IEC 62443 Cybersecurity Expert certification required
• Additional certifications like CSSLP or CISSP are a plus
Competencies
• Strong expertise in security management, risk assessment, and mitigation
• Experience with ICS/OT and secure cloud architecture
• Understanding of security risks across web, mobile, cloud, and API environments
• Knowledge of Privacy-by-Design principles & IT security best practices
• Skilled in vulnerability management, tools, and reporting
• Ability to design secure API, IoT, and connected device architectures
• Strong knowledge of cryptography, authentication, authorization, PKI, and AI security
• Familiar with DevSecOps, OWASP, and threat modeling methodologies
• Hands-on with: Coverity, SonarQube, Black Duck, Microsoft Threat Modeling Tool, jFrog, Jira,
Confluence
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently
• Fluency in English (Spanish/French a plus)
