Role: IT Support Engineer
Location: Ormskirk
Work pattern: Office based with client visits
Salary: £29,000-£35,000
Driving licence is essential for this role.
This growing team is seeking an enthusiastic IT Support Engineer who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and working directly with users to deliver excellent support.
The role offers a balance of helpdesk responsibilities and on-site client visits, providing opportunities to build strong relationships while developing technical skills. The successful candidate will join a friendly, social, and supportive team where ideas are valued, and contributions make a real impact.
Key Responsibilities
Provide 1st and 2nd line support via helpdesk, phone, remote tools, and on-site visits.
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and networking issues.
Assist with Microsoft 365 administration, cloud migrations, and server support.
Install, configure, and maintain IT infrastructure and telecoms systems.
Deliver excellent customer service and help maintain strong client relationships.
Key Skills
Experience working in a 1st/2nd Line role within an MSP environment.
Hands-on experience with installations and network builds.
Possesses strong troubleshooting skills across Windows desktop and server environments.
Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and general server administration.
Understands networking fundamentals including VLANs, routing, firewalls, and Wi-Fi technologies.
Experience supporting and configuring Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Intune, and Azure AD.
