Technical Product Manager – Data Platforms
Location: Dallas, TX (Onsite)
Employment Type: Full-Time/Contract to Hire
We’re seeking a Technical Product Manager to lead the evolution of next-generation data platforms powering enterprise operations and client delivery. This is a high-impact role blending product management, business and systems analysis, and project leadership. You’ll work closely with technology leadership, business stakeholders, and client-facing teams to shape roadmaps, define solutions, and drive execution across complex, data-intensive initiatives.
This role includes managing two direct reports (Business Analyst & Systems Analyst) and serving as the single point of accountability for assigned programs.
Must be based in Dallas, TX and authorized to work in the U.S.
What You’ll Do
Product Strategy & Roadmap
Define multi-quarter roadmaps for data platform upgrades and modernization.
Lead discovery and requirements definition; translate strategy into actionable plans.
Own backlog management, prioritization, and decision-making.
Integration & Data Architecture
Assess current data flows, integrations, and technical dependencies.
Design future-state architectures across Databricks, Salesforce, Sigma, Tableau, SQL platforms.
Develop phased transition plans from legacy systems to modern data stacks.
Collaborate with engineering on scalable ETL pipelines, APIs, and monitoring.
Business Analysis & Process Design
Lead workshops with business and client teams.
Map end-to-end processes and convert into user stories, specs, and acceptance criteria.
Produce diagrams, data mappings, interface specifications, and other deliverables.
Project & Program Leadership
Drive end-to-end program execution: timelines, risks, dependencies, communication.
Oversee BA/systems-analysis work including UAT, test planning, and cutover planning.
People Leadership
Manage two direct reports — set priorities, review work, mentor, support growth.
Stakeholder Engagement
Serve as single point of contact between Technology, business units, and client stakeholders.
Communicate progress, risks, and decisions clearly across technical and non-technical groups.
Quality, Compliance & Operations
Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance.
Define acceptance criteria, validation processes, and post-launch monitoring.
What We’re Looking For
Required Experience
5+ years in product management, business analysis, systems analysis, or technical program management.
Strong experience with data platforms, integrations, and enterprise systems.
Ability to create current/future-state architectures and roadmap transition plans.
Hands-on familiarity with SQL, APIs, ETL/data pipelines, and integration patterns.
Experience with Databricks, Salesforce, Sigma, Tableau, or similar platforms.
Background in finance or data-heavy operational environments.
Excellent communication skills bridging business and technical teams.
Preferred Experience
Commercial real estate, asset management, or investment reporting.
Data governance, data quality, or master data management.
Exposure to AWS, SelectStar, Prophecy, Next.js, or similar tools.
Client-facing or rapidly scaling environments.
Education & Certifications
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, IT, etc.).
MBA holders must have technical undergrad or 5+ years of hands-on technical experience.
CBAP, PMP/Agile, cloud/data platform certifications are a plus.
