Test Analyst - Manual - SQL - Banking

Excellent opportunity opens for QA Test Analyst to support ongoing change across a mixture of Legacy banking systems and modern digital platforms. You'll work closely with technology and business teams to ensure new features, enhancements and regulatory changes are delivered safely, accurately and on time.

This role suits a methodical manual tester with strong communication, solid documentation skills and experience working within structured governance frameworks. You will be comfortable testing user journeys, workflows and Back End changes across older systems as well as modern web and mobile channels.

Key Responsibilities

Execute functional, regression, integration and UAT support across multiple platforms
Analyse requirements, produce test cases and maintain full traceability
Validate system behaviour, business rules and data flows across Legacy applications
Work with developers, BAs and operations teams to clarify expected outcomes
Log defects clearly and track them through to resolution
Support release planning, test readiness, and environment checks
Provide clear, concise reporting on test progress, risks and defects
Contribute to continuous improvement across QA processes and standards

Required Experience

Strong background as a manual QA/Test Analyst within banking or financial services
Experience working with Legacy/older systems, Mainframe-style screens or platform integrations
Good understanding of customer journeys, operations workflows and business processes
Ability to write high-quality test cases, scenarios and documentation
Solid communication and stakeholder skills, with a collaborative approach
Familiarity with structured governance, defect management and controlled test environments
Awareness of SQL for interrogating databases
Experience working in Agile or hybrid environments
