Job Title: Technical Product Manager

Location: Remote, UK

Rate: £750/day via Umbrella Limited

About the Role

We are seeking a Technical Product Manager to lead the development and delivery of innovative products and services within the technology and telecom domain. This role involves managing multiple product developments simultaneously, ensuring alignment with strategic roadmaps, and driving successful launches into local markets.

Role Purpose

The Technical Product Manager will:

Deliver new products, services, and features in alignment with the PLCM framework.
Manage 2–3 new product developments at any given time, including:
Network Security Products
Managed Security Services for Network Security Products
Drive the development and launch of new products and services into local markets as per the roadmap.

Key Responsibilities

Act as the interface between Product Management and all other stakeholders.
Collate Technology Strategy, Plan, and requirements to inform and deliver the Product Strategy, Roadmap, and features (including platforms, apps, and integrated solutions).
Interlock overall product costs, budgets, and demands with LoB Product Manager, Pre-Sales, Finance, and governance teams, ensuring continuous cost management.
Lead technology planning for product management in line with the roadmap, confirming mandatory technical debt, enablers, and KTLO.
Progress new demands into impact assessment and ensure prioritised roadmap viability from technology, delivery, and cost perspectives.
Manage outputs and budgets through governance, agree on value streams, EPICs, and capabilities, and sequence these into NPD to meet roadmap objectives.
Ensure technical specifications align with local product/technology needs and manage local market integration.
Undertake in-life technology management (including service and systems) related to the interlocked product roadmap.
Create and maintain technical product content (e.g., service specs, SLAs, training).
Ensure new technology/vendor decisions meet product requirements (features, unit costs, service models, CX, SLAs, roadmaps).
Ensure compliance with Cyber & Corporate Security and business resilience policies throughout the product lifecycle.

Core Competencies

Technical product development or technical product management experience.
Strong understanding of assigned products and technologies.
Ability to balance customer, business, and technology perspectives.
Excellent collaboration, communication, teamwork, and influencing skills.
Experience building end-to-end technology plans for products and platforms.
Customer-centric mindset with experience in defining capabilities and features through co-creation.
In-life technology management and KPI performance relevant to products.
Vendor cost and service performance management, including budget oversight.
Experience building technical specifications, user stories, and service models.
Backlog management and prioritisation expertise.
Working knowledge of data privacy and security principles and alignment with Information Security frameworks.

Qualifications and Technical Experience Required

University degree relevant to the role.
Experience in Cybersecurity.
Experience in Product Management/Ownership.
Experience leading and delivering high performance through teams in the Telecoms/Technology industry.
Agile product development experience (e.g., SAFe, Scrum) and relevant certifications.
Foundational technology qualifications for the domain (desirable), e.g., CCNA, CISM, CISSP.
Experience with Office and Collaboration apps and product development tools, e.g., Jira and Confluence.
