About The Role
The Senior Data Analyst at Triangle Lifecycle Insights will play a pivotal role in transforming complex customer data into actionable insights to support loyalty lifecycle initiatives. This position involves building interactive dashboards in Google Data Studio to visualize customer data, conducting ad-hoc analyses from multiple data sources, and developing conversational analytics capabilities within Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The analyst will query, extract, and transform raw data from various data warehouses to uncover key insights that inform strategic decision-making.
The role requires an entrepreneurial mindset to approach problems creatively and efficiently, leveraging data to optimize customer engagement and retention strategies. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders is essential to ensure data-driven solutions align with business objectives. The Senior Data Analyst will also contribute to scaling audience building efforts across the organization, supporting Canadian Tire's commitment to innovation and customer-centric solutions.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering, science, mathematics/statistics, computer science, or related fields; MBA is a plus.
Minimum of 3+ years experience with data intelligence and visualization platforms such as Looker, Google Data Studio, Tableau, or similar tools.
Proficiency in SQL for complex data analysis; experience with Python or other data-processing languages is advantageous.
At least 3+ years working with large datasets across various industries.
Strong understanding of statistics, programming, database management, website and native app architecture.
Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and data models.
Excellent business acumen with skills in model building and strategic case development.
An ‘automate-first’ mindset focused on continuous process improvement and efficiency.
Proven ability to collaborate effectively within teams, demonstrate leadership, and operate in fast-paced, innovative environments.
Exceptional communication skills suitable for all organizational levels.
Responsibilities
Design and develop dashboards in Google Data Studio to visualize customer data and provide insights to loyalty lifecycle teams.
Perform ad-hoc data analysis by leveraging multiple data sources and present findings clearly to stakeholders.
Create conversational analytics capabilities within Google Cloud Platform to facilitate audience building and segmentation across the organization.
Query, extract, and transform raw data from various data warehouses to support in-depth customer analysis and reporting.
Approach data challenges with an entrepreneurial mindset, seeking innovative solutions for complex problems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical data solutions.
Automate routine data processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
