Snowflake Data Engineer
About the Role
We’re looking for a skilled Snowflake Data Engineer to join our team and help build a modern, scalable, cloud‑based data platform. You’ll play a key role in designing, developing, and optimizing data pipelines and models within Snowflake, ensuring our data is reliable, accessible, and ready for analytics and business insights.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines into Snowflake
Develop and optimize Snowflake schemas, including star, snowflake, and data vault models
Implement Snowflake features such as Streams, Tasks, Snowpipe, Time Travel, and Zero‑Copy Cloning
Optimize query performance and manage virtual warehouse sizing and cost efficiency
Ensure data quality, governance, and security using Snowflake RBAC, masking policies, and best practices
Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and business teams to deliver reliable datasets
Integrate Snowflake with tools such as dbt, Airflow, Fivetran, Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, or similar
Support CI/CD processes and version control for data pipelines
Troubleshoot data issues and continuously improve pipeline reliability and performance
Required Skills & Experience
Strong experience working with Snowflake in a production environment
Advanced SQL skills and experience with performance tuning
Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and cloud‑native architectures
Experience building data pipelines using Python, SQL, or similar languages
Hands‑on experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Familiarity with modern data stack tools (dbt, Airflow, ADF, Fivetran, etc.)
Knowledge of data governance, security, and best practices
Nice to Have
Experience with Delta Lake, Databricks, or Spark
Exposure to streaming technologies (Kafka, Kinesis, Pub/Sub)
Background in BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker
Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
Experience working in agile environments
