Role: Hybrid. 3 days onsite

IT Senior Developer – ServiceNow

We are seeking an IT Senior Developer with deep ServiceNow expertise to join our client’s team.

This role will design, develop, and implement innovative ServiceNow solutions that support critical business initiatives. You will work across the full ServiceNow stack, developing custom applications and driving projects across multiple departments.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain high‑quality ServiceNow applications.
Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements.
Write clean, scalable, and efficient code following best practices.
Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and issues.
Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
Work with LDAP/Active Directory, cloud architecture, and related tools.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent STEM field.
5+ years as a System Administrator/Developer.
5+ years in IT Service Delivery.
3+ years coding/scripting experience.
ServiceNow Expertise: Strong technical foundation and full‑stack experience with the ServiceNow platform and architecture.
Web Development: Proficiency in JavaScript, CSS, HTML, AngularJS; experience with modern frameworks (Angular/React).
Database Management: Experience with SQL Server and/or Oracle.
Certifications: CSA required (expired acceptable). CAD is a plus.

Preferred Experience (Highly Desired)

A strong focus on the following capabilities is sought after. These skills fill significant gaps on the team and are additive to core ServiceNow development skills.

Service Portal Development

Custom widget development, AngularJS, and Bootstrap proficiency.
Advanced client‑side and server‑side scripting.
Portal theming, branding, and UI customization.
Service Catalog and Record Producer design best practices.

ServiceNow Mobile Development

Experience building and customizing Mobile Studio experiences.
Creating/configuring mobile cards, lists, forms, and navigation.
Strong proficiency with Mobile App Builder.
Advanced client‑side scripting and mobile UI policy design.
Offline data configuration and secure mobile workflow design.

UI Builder & Workspace Development

Building and configuring experiences in UI Builder and Workspaces.
Creating custom UI Builder components.
Strong client‑side scripting skills for dynamic UI behaviors.
Designing reusable components, templates, and persona-based experiences.
Applying UX best practices, managing workspace ACLs, and developing scalable, maintainable workspace apps.

AI / Now Assist / AI Agent Development

Designing and configuring generative AI experiences.
Building and tuning AI Agents within the Now Platform.
Leveraging Flow Designer and Integration Hub for automated actions.
Applying responsible AI best practices.
Configuring Virtual Agent topics, conversational flows, and secure AI-driven experiences across the platform.
