Job Specifications
Location: Remote (United States)
Also open to: Canada (remote) — role is focused on the US market
Travel: US trade shows + occasional customer visits
Compensation: OTE $100,000–$250,000+ (base + uncapped commission; compensation is negotiable and market-competitive based on experience and location).
Commission: Earn 25% of first-year subscription revenue on new customers you close, plus continued commission on accounts you manage (details shared during the interview process).
About OwlOps
OwlOps is a simple operations app that helps multi-unit restaurants (and other multi-location operators) manage maintenance, IT/issues, and internal communication in one place — with real accountability and visibility.
We’re already in and around roughly 5,000 restaurants across quick service and casual dining through our customer base, network, and opportunities. 80%+ of our customers and biggest growth opportunities are in the US, so this role is primarily focused on selling into US-based multi-unit operators.
Sales is founder-led right now. We’ve proven the value and we’re ready to build a real sales engine.
Who This Role Is For
If you’re the kind of person who can build pipelines, make the calls, run demos, follow up fast, and close — and you enjoy building the playbook as you go — you’ll fit right in.
This is a small team (4–5 people). We work hard, move fast, keep things simple, and have fun doing it.
What You’ll Do
Build and own your pipeline: prospecting, calling, outreach, demos, and closing
Follow up relentlessly but appropriately (same day, next day, until it closes or it’s a real “no”)
Work trade shows: prep, attend, and convert leads with fast follow-up
Help build repeatable systems for outreach + follow-up (clean pipeline, clear stages, forecasting)
Help refine messaging and create simple assets when needed (flyers/one-pagers, short follow-ups, LinkedIn messages — Canva is a plus)
Collaborate with the team to keep improving how we sell, market, and onboard customers
What We’re Looking For
Proven ability to generate pipeline (not just work inbound leads)
Comfortable on the phone and with outbound outreach
Strong closer with great follow-up habits
Understands the restaurant environment (franchisees, ops teams, vendors, area coaches, store managers) and can talk their language
Self-directed, organized, and motivated by results
Roll-up-your-sleeves mindset — because we’re building
Bonus Points
Sold into franchises, QSR, hospitality, c-stores, or multi-location retail
Trade show selling experience
Comfortable creating clean, simple collateral in Canva
