Position: Intermediate Systems Administrator/Operations Support Specialist
Duration: 1 Year assignment (contract)
Client Location: Toronto (Onsite: 7.25 hours/day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday)
Engagement Model: Professional Services Engagement – B2B (Incorporated Entities Only)

About the Engagement
Akkodis is seeking an Intermediate Systems Administrator / Operations Support Specialist to provide frontline technical support for healthcare-sector clients. The successful candidate will act as the first point of contact for incident management, system troubleshooting, ticket triage, and coordination with multiple technical teams. This role requires a strong customer service mindset, the ability to manage competing priorities, and familiarity with healthcare data privacy requirements.
Scope
The Intermediate Systems Administrator / Operations Support Specialist will:
Provide daily, ongoing first-level technical support to clients via the Footprints ticketing system or other mechanisms.
Prioritize scheduled support activities alongside urgent, unscheduled requests, ensuring rapid response and resolution.
Act as a liaison between end users and technical specialists (DBAs, System Administrators, Network Administrators, Privacy/Security teams, SMEs)
Assignment Deliverables
Daily ticket triage and support logs with accurate categorization and documentation.
Weekly and monthly reporting on ticket volumes, trends, and SLA performance.
Communication materials and client updates were developed in collaboration with SMEs.
Root‑cause analyses and incident documentation for recurring system and connectivity issues.
Expertise Required
Must Have:
2+ years of Tier 1 technical support experience.
Experience with Microsoft Great Plains 2016 or Quadrant Workforce.
ITIL Foundation certification or equivalent real‑world ITIL experience.
Hands‑on experience with Windows/Linux environments and technical troubleshooting.
Experience working with enterprise tools such as Citrix, Active Directory, or healthcare-specific software.
Nice to Have:
Experience supporting financial management or healthcare operational systems.
Familiarity with healthcare data flows, integrations, and privacy/security practices.
