We are seeking a highly motivated Security Technical Project Manager to support information security onboarding efforts as the organization expands through acquisitions. This role will focus on driving security integration across newly acquired companies’ applications, infrastructure, and vendor ecosystems, ensuring alignment with corporate security standards, policies, and industry best practices. The Security Technical Project Manager will act as a key liaison between the security organization, cross-functional partners, and acquired company engineering, IT, compliance, and business teams. The role is highly execution-focused and involves managing multiple security initiatives simultaneously while providing strong reporting and visibility to leadership.

Contract Duration: 11+ Months
Rate Range – $60–70/hr on W2

Responsibilities:

Security Program Reporting

Maintain accurate, up-to-date reporting on security integration activities for acquired companies
Track progress against M&A security roadmaps, milestones, and integration timelines
Produce regular security dashboards and leadership reports covering:
Overall integration progress
Open and emerging risks
Compliance gaps and remediation status
Key blockers and dependencies
Maintain centralized tracking for:
Security risks and risk ratings
Exceptions, compensating controls, and risk acceptances
Vulnerabilities and remediation SLAs
Prepare executive-ready summaries translating technical security issues into business risk and impact
Monitor remediation timelines and escalate overdue or at-risk items with supporting details
Ensure consistency and accuracy of reporting across multiple acquired entities
Continuously improve reporting templates, metrics, and dashboards
Support ad-hoc reporting requests related to M&A security initiatives

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner with engineering, IT, compliance, and legal teams to integrate security requirements into product and infrastructure lifecycles
Communicate security requirements, timelines, and deliverables to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Support senior security leaders by providing visibility into security risk posture and technical compliance for acquired companies
Assist with daily reporting activities and ticket tracking
Coordinate across multiple workstreams while managing concurrent security projects

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
3+ years of experience managing or supporting security-focused technical projects or programs
Hands-on experience supporting security initiatives such as:
Cloud security
Vulnerability management
Infrastructure security
IAM / SSO onboarding
Strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams

Required Skills (Non-Negotiable)

Strong hands-on involvement with daily reporting and ticket management
Ability to streamline processes for rapidly scaling cross-functional teams
Proven multitasking across multiple concurrent projects
Project Manager background with solid security domain knowledge
Exposure across multiple security domains (application, infrastructure, IAM, vendor risk, compliance)

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
Exposure to information security program implementation or compliance initiatives
Interest in or pursuit of certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, PMP, CCSK, or CCSP
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a pragmatic approach to remediation
