Senior QA Engineer - Video Platforms

Contract-to-Hire preferred

About the Role

We’re seeking a senior QA engineer with hands-on experience in video platforms. You’ll be responsible for testing and validating complex systems, including embedded gateways, streaming workflows, and cloud services.

This is a highly collaborative role - working closely with developers and architects - to ensure quality is built in from the start, rather than added after the fact.

Key Responsibilities

Design and execute test strategies for video platforms and streaming workflows
Validate OTT streaming (HLS, DASH) and DRM functionality
Test encoding/transcoding pipelines and playback scenarios
Identify edge cases related to video delivery, networking, and performance
Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues
Contribute to improving QA processes and automation over time

Required Experience & Skills

Strong QA background with video platforms or streaming systems
Hands-on experience testing:
OTT streaming (HLS, DASH)
DRM systems (Widevine, PlayReady)
Video formats and codecs (MPEG-2, H.264, HEVC)
Understanding of networking concepts related to video delivery
Experience with embedded systems or gateway products is a plus
Ability to work independently and take ownership of quality outcomes
