Power BI / Data Scientist – AI & Analytics

The Role
We are seeking a forward-thinking Power BI / Data Scientist to lead the evolution of our next-generation data and analytics ecosystem. This role bridges traditional business intelligence with advanced AI, leveraging Microsoft Fabric to curate enterprise data, develop complex Power BI reporting, and build AI-driven data experiences.
A critical focus of this role is preparing data for natural language interaction, including the development of AI-ready semantic models and Linguistic Schemas that enable intuitive, high-impact business insights.
This is a hands-on, high-visibility position suited for someone who thrives at the intersection of data, business, and emerging AI capabilities.
Core Responsibilities
Power BI & Reporting
Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade Power BI dashboards and interactive reports
Build advanced calculations using DAX and data transformations with Power Query
Data Curation & Fabric
Curate, transform, and optimize data within Microsoft Fabric OneLake
Ensure data integrity, performance, and analytics-readiness across datasets
AI Agent Development
Build and configure Fabric Data Agents enabling natural language (Q&A) access to enterprise data
Linguistic Schema & AI Preparation
Develop and import Linguistic Schemas to enhance AI understanding of business terminology
Prepare datasets for generative AI and natural language consumption
Model Optimization
Refine semantic models with AI instructions, example prompts, synonyms, and metadata
Improve accuracy, relevance, and trust in AI-generated responses
What You Bring
8–10+ years of experience in data, analytics, and report development
Strong hands-on expertise with Power BI and modern data platforms
Working knowledge of IT infrastructure, software development, and cloud operations
Ability to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions
Excellent communication skills and a strong sense of business alignment
