About The Program
The NCIA internship is a 6-month program based at one of our key hubs in The Netherlands, Belgium or Portugal. Our internship opportunities start from either 1 March or 1 September with the start date being dependent on the timeline to secure the required security clearance to work within the NATO community. During an internship, you will join and support a diverse international team and simultaneously learn from our experts via on-the-job training, working independently on purposeful projects or initiatives during your tenure.
About The Internship
Internship duration: 6 months
Location: Brussels, Belgium
The NATO Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) is responsible for planning and executing all lifecycle management activities for cyber security. In execution of this responsibility, it provides specialist cyber security-related services covering the spectrum of scientific, technical, acquisition, operations, maintenance, and sustainment support. NCSC provides services in the specialist security areas such as: CIS Security, Cyber Defence, Information Assurance, Computer Security and Communications Security.
This internship supports efficient financial and workforce resource allocation and the management of project portfolios. Responsibilities include assisting in tracking resource allocation, analyzing utilization and bottlenecks, supporting workforce planning and scheduling, and aiding in budget and financial tracking. You will help maintain project portfolios, track KPIs, support prioritization activities, collect and analyze project data, and prepare performance reports for senior management. Additional tasks include compiling data, maintaining dashboards and presentations, identifying trends, ensuring data accuracy, and following established processes. The role provides practical experience in resource management, portfolio oversight, and data-driven reporting.

Business intelligence : Assists with the creation of regular business intelligence reports using standard tools. Supports data preparation from existing sources.
Business situation analysis : Investigates straightforward business situations to identify and analyse problems and opportunities. Contributes to the recommendation of improvements. Follows agreed standards and techniques to investigate, analyse and document business situations. Engages with stakeholders under direction.
Portfolio, programme and project support : Assists with the compilation of portfolio, programme and project management reports. Maintains programme and project files from supplied actual and forecast data.
