Job Title: Systems Manager – Data Integrations & Business Intelligence
Location: London, United Kingdom (Hybrid)
Contract Length: 12 Months
Day Rate: £550-£650 Outside IR35
About the Role
A leading data business is seeking an experienced Systems Manager – Data Integrations & BI to lead and evolve its enterprise data and reporting capability. This role is accountable for ensuring the business has the right data, in the right place, at the right time to support operational performance and strategic decision-making.
The successful candidate will lead a small internal team, manage external delivery partners, and drive continuous improvement across data integration, warehousing, governance, and business intelligence. The environment is Microsoft-centric and requires a balance of people leadership, stakeholder engagement, and strategic ownership.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop the Data Integrations, Data Warehouse, and Business Intelligence function, promoting accountability and continuous improvement
Manage third-party vendors and delivery partners delivering build and support services, ensuring quality and alignment with standards
Partner with stakeholders across the business to understand data requirements and deliver reliable, actionable insights
Oversee BAU operations including data pipelines, refresh schedules, access management, and support, while driving ongoing enhancements
Own and evolve the Microsoft-based data platform, including:
Integrations: iPaaS solutions and Azure Logic Apps
Data Warehouse: Azure SQL
Business Intelligence: Power BI and related reporting tools
Lead data governance, analytics, and data management initiatives to ensure data is effectively and responsibly utilised
Skills & Experience
10+ years’ experience in data management, analytics, or related fields
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a leadership or management role
Proven track record of delivering data strategies in large-scale or complex environments
Strong experience leading data integration, ETL, and BI teams in Microsoft-based ecosystems
In-depth knowledge of Azure data services (Logic Apps, Data Factory, Azure SQL, Power BI, etc.)
Demonstrated success managing vendor relationships and mixed internal/external delivery models
Ability to translate complex data challenges into clear business outcomes and priorities
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and commercial acumen
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
