Infrastructure Engineer

Location: Canary Wharf, London – Initially onsite 5 days per week, then once settled, 3 days onsite and 2 days remote

Duration: 9-month Fixed Term Contract

Language: Fluent English required; Spanish is highly desirable

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to support a Financial Services environment, focusing on core Windows-based infrastructure platforms. The role involves hands-on operational support, system administration, and ensuring the stability and security of enterprise infrastructure.

Key Skills & Experience

Strong experience in Windows Server environments (2016, 2019, 2022)
Experience with virtualised platforms such as VMware and/or Hyper-V
Previous experience working within Financial Services (Banking or Insurance)
Spanish language skills are a strong preference, but not mandatory

Responsibilities

Support and administer Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022)
Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, and core Windows services
Assist with patch management, vulnerability remediation, and security hardening
Monitor infrastructure, respond to incidents, and ensure operational stability
Support virtualised platforms (VMware and/or Hyper-V)
Support backup and recovery processes as required

Requirements

Minimum 2+ years’ experience in Windows infrastructure or systems administration
Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server and Active Directory
Exposure to patching, vulnerability management, and monitoring tools
Mandatory experience working within a Financial Services environment
Familiarity with virtualisation technologies
Ability to work onsite in Canary Wharf as required
