Job Title: Business Operations Analyst – Project & Financial Reporting (6-Month Contract) | St. Louis, MO

Location: St. Louis, MO (Travel Between 3 Local Sites)

Contract Duration: 6 months (possible extension)

Target Pay Rate: $24/hr

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Business Operations Analyst to support cross-functional teams across Operations, Engineering, Procurement, Finance, and PMO. This role is responsible for delivering accurate business insights through Excel-based financial summaries, project dashboards, operational reporting, and process documentation. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and experienced in collaborating with diverse teams in a dynamic project environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Build and maintain Excel-based financial summaries, including budget tracking, forecasts, cost rollups, and variance analysis.
Create dashboards, pivot tables, and reports to provide clear project and operations insights to leadership.
Consolidate data from SAP, Ariba, Manage, Time Tracker, SmartBuy, and other internal systems.
Support analysis of business processes to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for standardization or automation.
Assist with project-related purchasing activities, vendor transactions, and operational spend tracking.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Procurement, Engineering, and Operations teams to ensure accurate reporting and data flow.
Maintain clear documentation of processes, templates, and reporting logic; support rollout of new tools and processes.

Qualifications:

Required:

2+ years of experience in business operations, project analysis, financial reporting, or similar roles.
High proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas, lookups, data modeling).
Experience with enterprise systems such as SAP, Ariba, or similar tools.
Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred:

Experience in PMO or project-based teams.
Familiarity with forecasting, cost accounting, or operational budgeting.
AI tools experience or certifications.

Additional Notes:

Candidate must have a valid driver’s license and be able to drive a Bayer Fleet vehicle between local sites. MVR check required.
This is a long-term role with potential for extension beyond 6 months.
