Junior Full Stack PHP Software Engineer - Sustainability | £35,000 - £42,000

We're working with our client on this exciting opportunity.

Join a dynamic team building impactful sustainability and digital learning platforms. This is a fantastic opportunity for a curious and ambitious Junior Full Stack Engineer to hone your skills in modern web development, leveraging PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and database technologies, all while contributing to meaningful environmental change.

The Role

Develop and maintain custom Moodle plugins, themes, and features.
Write clean, reusable PHP code and contribute to responsive UI (HTML/CSS/JS).
Assist with RESTful API integrations and build system enhancements.
Troubleshoot issues, improve performance, and ensure best practices for accessibility and data protection.
Collaborate within an agile team, participate in code reviews, and utilise AI tools responsibly.

What You'll Need

1-2 years of commercial experience in PHP/web development.
Strong understanding of PHP fundamentals, HTML, CSS3, and JavaScript.
Working knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL).
Proficiency with Git for version control.
UK work authorisation and English proficiency.
