Financial Services (Large Cap)

£140,000 – £160,000 + circa 25% bonus (discretionary)

La Fosse is pleased to be partnering with a large-cap financial services organisation on the appointment of a Director, AI Enablement & Digital Strategy. This senior, high-impact role is for a strategic leader who can translate digital, data and AI capabilities into measurable business value.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Leadership

Define and deliver a coherent digital and AI enablement strategy
Develop and maintain strategic roadmaps, refining priorities as business needs evolve.

AI Enablement, Governance & Adoption

Lead the organisation’s approach to AI enablement, including responsible adoption of Generative AI and intelligent automation.
Establish governance, reporting and operating models to support safe, ethical and compliant AI use.
Drive adoption of AI tools across different departments, embedding them into everyday ways of working.
Partner with data science, engineering and delivery teams to ensure use cases are well defined and effectively executed.

Value Creation & Change

Identify and prioritise high-impact digital and AI opportunities with measurable outcomes (efficiency, insight, risk reduction).
Translate opportunities into clear, fundable business cases with defined benefits and ROI.
Champion a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement, influencing stakeholders up to ExCo level.

About You:

Proven experience in digital, data and AI strategy, ideally within financial services.
Experience enabling or scaling AI and/or Generative AI use cases with clear business outcomes.
Practical understanding of AI governance and responsible adoption.
You do not need to have led a centralised enterprise AI function previously - this role is focused on enablement, influence and value realisation.
